Wednesday night's worship was different...different in a good way though. During practice I felt the presence of God strongly as we went over the song "More than Life", as we sang the last part "Jesus Blood Never Fails Me" my spirit was quickened and I knew the power of God was in those words and he was up to something :).
Service starts and we go through the praise song, we then move into worship and I wanted to jump on to "Jesus Blood Never Fails Me" but I knew God was marinating some people and breaking up the fallow ground. The youth were pressing in and I can tell that everyone was engaging, God was moving, His presence was clearly known. I was so engaged, usually I'm partially focused on the order of the song and the flow but this time I was actually being swept into worship, I focusing everything on Him. We then get to the part "Jesus blood" and there was a rush of his annointing that swept over the atmosphere, there were youth crying and repenting, letting go....there was a repentance movement, then a healing movement and God was just pouring out!
I love his presence, I love everything about Him, I love the way he surprises us with difference!
As I drove home that night, I began to think about what occured during worship. Something dropped in my spirit and this thought occured.
If I were to focus too much on how his presence was coming then I would have missed the movement of God, I actually would have hindered it and limited His presence. I thinking that sometimes we can focus to much of His structure and How he should do it and when He should do it, I believe in order, but are we focusing TO MUCH on the order of God and not God.
I came to the conclusion that God is a UNLIMITED God and he can work in ways we don't understand. Our job is not to try and understand how he does it, our job is to be obedient, to be a vessel. The jar that's suppose to hold water doesn't ask the water how he does, he just allows the water to fill him because that's the jar's job.
If we are mature in Christ and know that God is using us, then we need to allow Him to use us to the fullest. If we know that It's God using us, then we can't ask questions or pre-pakage His doing, we need to be obident and let Him do it!
We need to either be the vessel or get out of the way, because God is trying to do something.
He wants to use you, but if your in the way he's just going to go to the next person who will allow Him to be used to the fullest. God can use anyone, anyplace, anywhere. He's God! He can come tomorrow, or he can rewind time. He can wiggle his big toe and your life can change, he can sneeze and you'll be blessed....GOD IS A BIG GOD! Why do we want to limit Him? Don't miss out because your so foucused on your abilites or current circumstance or how it should come and when it should come, just focuse on God and His ways...even if it different :)
