Hello! Sorry I haven't updated since I announced I was moving but it has finally happened and I have made the big move! I am now in Searcy, Arkansas which is where I am currently living. I'm about 20 minutes away from Cabot which is where I'll be volunteering at New Life Church with Augustine and Monica who are now happily married!
The Road trip to Arkansas was a blast, so glad that Oliver came along and kept me company, along with my best friends Justin, Suzie and Mandi. It was long yet fun. There was one point on the trip where we were trying to get to Montgomery, we went through these back roads, pure country. It was DARK and hilly. We past through this ghost town that looked creepy. We saw a cemetery that looked like it could of come straight out of a thriller movie, all of it that part of just creepy, so of course Oliver and I wanted to come up with a scary story of our own. Going back and forth we added to each of our story. At one point I was adding my part and zoned into what i was saying while driving, OLIVER screamed and scared me, i scared myself with my own story...of course we both busted laughing. It was awesome! We just had many many laughs. Just as we entered into Arkansas a HUGE wasp was in our car and flew right against the driver side of the window, I immediately noticed this HUGE bug that could fly in my face at any moment. Oliver and I both started screaming like girls and I slowly pulled down the window which thankfully the wasp flew out. Our reactions just lead to more laughing till we couldn't laugh no more. It was such a great road trip!!! I was blessed!
It was such a beautiful wedding, simple and sweet. Loved it! I was so honored to be a part of this wedding and see one of my very good friends tie the knot. I've known August for many many years and their family is like my family. I love them dearly and wish them the very very best and can't wait to do life with them in my new season!
So how's Arkansas? ...well right now its HOT like dry heat and it just makes you want to stay inside all day. LOL but I know that soon the cold weather is coming and fall is just around the corner and for that I'm excited!
Saying goodbyes are not easy, Saturday I had to let go and step in to my new season, its exciting yet the first few parts are always hard and its that initial releasing point that truly test your trust and commitment to your season. So I shed a few tears and sobbed for a bit but as soon as I hit the open road I was confident that God is going to do some AWESOME things.
I arrived at my new place, I'm renting a room from a guy who has a 4 bedroom beautiful home. His name is Jack and he's a good guy, works full time and has a daughter name Makayla who's very sweet. They welcomed me with great hospitality. My room is spacious and so is the house, its really nice. I'm blessed. I am thinking about possibly moving closer as I settle into Arkansas. I'll keep you updated.
Sunday, I went to church and loved the message which was via video from our lead pastor. Rick Bezet. Awesome message.
All in all its been a great few days, bittersweet. Waiting on August and Monica to get back from their Honeymoon so that connection can begin and work can start rolling in. For now, I'll just enjoy the surroundings and get to get familiar with the city i live in. Did I mention that their's only two main roads...LOL...so different from St. Pete and Tampa! LOL.
Good bye for now...I'll keep you guys updated.
