Releasing His Powerful Annointing!

Recently one of my co-workers found an unusual lump on her breast, she went to the doctors to make sure that the mass wasn't cancerous, thank God it wasn't, but she would still need surgery to remove the mass before it caused any other harm. Yesterday at work I was quicken in my spirit to pray for her before she left. So I quickly called another female co-worker who knew the situation and explained that we should pray over her before she left for her surgery.

So we did, no shouting, no music, no prophesying, just a simple prayer, we came in agreement for her quick healing and recovery and released the anointing of healing over her body.
Today, I received an email from this co-worker who was suppose to be in surgery. They couldn't perform the procedure because they couldn't find the mass they were suppose to remove. They did two ultra sounds and a mammogram and found nothing. Praise the Lord! A Miracle! She doesn't have to have the surgery.

Before I got the news this morning, I was reading 1 John 2:20-21 "But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. (2) I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth". God's been really pressing on my heart about the Oil and how it represents the Anointing of God. We have oil on our lives, we have the anointing and we must release it at times of releasing.

When I was at my desk working yesterday, I felt that instruction in my spirit to pray for my co-worker and immediately responded to what God wanted to do. When we become vessels of God we become an open space for God to fill it. We need to be available for the anointing of God so that we can release it! So that if he wants you to heal, he'll fill you with the power to heal, if he wants you to prophesy he'll fill you with His voice to speak, if he wants you to GO he'll give you directions and a place to go, If he wants you to intercede, he'll give you a burden. We just need to be available!

If we are obedient to the Lord then we can be limitless to what he wants to do through us. When we allow the flesh to stand in place of the anointing we block the work of God and his plans. I lead worship at my youth church and in the main sanctuary, I always pray for his anointing and his will to be done, because I know if I put my hands on it, I'll mess it up! God has a strategic plan for what he wants to do and we just need to be the tool for him to use.

So next time, don't limit yourself because of experience or age, just be ready for God to use you, open up your eyes and ears and wait for the Lord's instructions so that you can release the power and the anointing that's within you!
