Simple Raw Moments

I love it when I run into an old school song that takes me back to the days when I first found true salvation. It puts me into a state of rawness with God, where I can just really let it go and let God strip me from EVERYTHING!

Here's a song that shifted me recently into a raw moment, it was from a camp I used to go to when I was in youth, called Beach Freak. I was there when they recorded this song and it was a life changing moment for all involved, in fact its where God called me into ministry.

That's it... the lyrics are so simple yet so raw and life changing. Its a great worship song to get alone with God and be real with Him, it becomes a recommitment for me. Its a moment when I can just let my heart be poured out, its a moment when I can let my heavenly Father hold me and strip me from labels, titles and control. Its that raw moment where you plant your face to the carpet and stain it tears.

Its in those moments, after the sobbing and stripping that God starts to remind me who I am. He reassures the calling and anointing in my life. It's where I find my confidence and get my strength. Its in that moment I find grace and pure peace.

Oh But to hear His voice, to feel His presence, to feel His Love, its so refreshing.

So, on this proclaiming day of love, Allow yourself to get raw before God. Let His ultimate Love consume you. Let Him strip you from the junk and the day. Allow Him to consume you with His presence and shower You with His words of compassion and grace. Words of love that affirms who you are and who you're called to.
